Sometimes, it really amazes me how my wife and I think differently on certain things but still manage to survive each day of our married life.  Well, it’s probably that little thing called love.

My wife would often ask me to accompany her for a workout.  And yes, I’ll be with her but I’ll bring along my tablet to check emails and finish some articles.  That’s my work out—- working outside the office.  While she lifts weights, I carry work loads. She takes on the hurdles in the gym as I hurdle the tasks given by Sir Jim (my boss).  She does walkathon and I do work-athon.

But if I tell her that I want to beef up.  She surely knows what I mean.  We’re going not in the gym.  We’re definitely heading to Pizza Hut.

That’s what I love about my wife.  When it comes to matters of my taste buds and tummy, she knows what I really like.  Just like one night when we were watching TV, the latest Pizza Hut TV ad featuring 2011 Ms. Universe 3rd Runner-up Shamcey Supsup and the new product Tuscani pizza collection was shown, she gave me that look and smile that can only mean joy for pizza lovers like me.  Then came an offer that I could not resist—- a weekend date to try the Tuscani pizza!

Ever since, I’ve always been a sucker of anything beef. From corned beef to beef tapa to beef stew and beef teriyaki, I love them all with a plateful of straight from the kaldero rice.  When I was young, nilagang baka by my Nanay Conchit has been my comfort food when I’m done whether from a heart-breaking experience or disappointing basketball game.  Now, it’s my wife who prepares great dish. My favorite in her personal bestseller list is her version of beef caldereta.

And just recently, she has added another tasty item in her menu although she doesn’t really cook it. She calls 911-1111 in times of emergency like she does not feel like cooking or just tired to prepare something in the kitchen.  She need not ask me what to order because she could probably picture Tuscani Roast Beef floating on top of my head.

I just love this flavor because it looks very delicious, smells really good and tastes absolutely amazing!  Order a Tuscani Roast Beef and you’ll understand what I’m talking about.  You’ll experience its mouth-watering aroma while it is on its way to be served on your table.  It’s an eye-candy to look at the toppings of premium roast beef chunks, shiitake mushrooms, cheddar and mozzarella cheese and rich tomato sauce plus the drizzled garlic steak sauce white stripe to give that oh-so-yummy presentation.  The topping is spread to the edge that’s why I leave no crust from every slice that I get.

As if their products are not enough to make their customers happy, Pizza Hut Philippines has an ongoing blog contest where participants can win exciting prizes like iPad 2, iPhone 4, a DSLR camera, Boracay trip for two or a shopping spree worth Php 20,000.

I am hoping to win my first-ever DSLR camera which can definitely add flavor to the life of this a blogger who has been around covering events for the last four years.  When I go to events, it’s either I use a pink point and shoot camera (which is obviously not mine) or my camera phone to take pictures that I will use in my posts.  It’s not like my photos are bad but I think, my shots will be much better with a DSLR camera.

Develop my photography skills. I have friends who are willing to teach me the basic of this gadget and I can also google for advance tips and tricks. It’s like discovering a new world with a camera like this.

Spur opportunity to new ventures. Who knows what new things and places I will conquer when I have a DSLR camera.  I can even start a business or offer my self to cover events. Simply exciting!

Let me be more creative.  A point-and-shoot camera is very handy everywhere I go but I feel like I can be more creative with my shots with a DSLR camera.  I’m sure I can still squeeze out some juice from my head when I have it.

Reap wonders.  I’ve always wanted to join photo contests but I feel like a little intimidated with other participants carrying spanking arsenals with flashes and lenses of all sizes. If I have my own DSLR, I just know I can give them a run for their money.

If I win in this contest, I can finally feel what it’s like having this cool gadget hanging on my neck that gives more confidence, zest and the feeling of “I am Mr. Photographer” to anyone who owns it.  And I’m sure my wife will be very proud and happy to see me fulfill one of my dreams.
